Just how realistic is this approach? Joe isn’t stupid. He works long, hard hours at his job in order to provide for his family and truly believes that the best thing he can hope for is saving enough money by summer to pay for a camping trip. Then here you come, promising Joe that he can have everything that Sam has and he can have it if he will just sign that piece of paper making you his sponsor! You will probably sponsor a few people that way, but if you are in business for the long haul you need to change your approach and do it fast.
The proper approach is so simple, but in your rush to sponsor another “rep” instead of helping another person, all too often you talk yourself into and straight out of sponsoring the Joes of the world.
God gave you two ears and one mouth and he did it for a reason. We are supposed to “listen” twice as much as we “speak.”
Instead of pouncing on Joe with the latest and greatest network marketing program of all time, find out what Joe wants and needs. Ask him questions, lots of questions. In fact, in your first meeting with Joe, don’t even mention your business! Yes, that’s what I said. Don’t even bring it up. Remove yourself from
the super duper network marketing persona and spend time making a new friend.

I read and post to forums daily and have learned about everything from how to write an article to the best advertising methods and many things in between. Just do another google search on business and marketing forums and register and start reading. Try to allocate some time each day for this and you will be amazed at how much insight you will gain.
Do talk to people in this business. On many forums, you have access to send a personal message to someone whose ideas and comments interest you. I have emailed several people who were willing to speak to me and it was so informative.

Amazingly, a large number of people have those two characteristics and there is very little we're going to be able to do to help them.
Give them a copy of the classic Napoleon Hill book "Think and Grow Rich" and suggest that they read it from cover to cover, but do not waste a lot of time with people that suffer from low self esteem. If you are an MLM newbie you'll probably be tempted to try desperately to save the world. That's what we did when we first got started, and it nearly led to what seemed to be an obvious conclusion, MLM doesn't work. Well it does work, but when you try to save everybody you might find it hard to believe.
When you try to save the world you become frustrated every time somebody fails. You start to play the "if only" blame game. If only I had picked them up and taken them to the meeting. If only I had called them more often. If only I had recruited people and stuck them under my new recruit, then they would have been able to see that they could become successful!
Don't fall into that trap. When you start to play the "if only" blame game you are heading down the wrong road. It's not your fault! The real truth is there is very little you can do to motivate your team. Sure, you can do some things, but for the most part, people are going to do what people are going to do, and we aren't going to change them.

Television is just one of a massive list of excuses that people who claim to want more out of life cling to, to justify the fact that they are not as successful as they could be.

When you really stop to think about it all TV is really doing is taking time away from the things that should matter the most to you isn't it?

Take the extra time that you would be watching the boob tube and invest it in your business and your family. We never thought of it that way before. People actually have a right to lead boring miserable lives, and if that's what they want we should ignore them just like Rachael does.
Some of your strongest critics will probably be your family members. It may not be that way for you, but it sure is for a lot of people. When you become successful you can count on one thing, when they need money, your family members will come knocking on your door!

Personally, I think Rachael Ray is awesome, but much to my surprise, some people can't stand her. There's a website where people complain about how she looks, what she says and they actually complain that's she's too energetic!
Then there are the people who are angry because she's not a real Chef. Does any of that sound familiar? Do people question your credentials? "I don't know why Bob's trying to teach people how to make money he's been broke all of his life." Do what Rachael does, ignore them. She says they have a right to their opinion.
We never thought of it that way before. People actually have a right to lead boring miserable lives, and if that's what they want we should ignore them just like Rachael does.

Are you an MLM Rockstar or a Grinder?
I've been in the network marketing industry for 4 years now. When I first came across the industry I was actually looking for job. The opportunity had been advertised as if it was a job, but it sounded very interesting so I investigated further.
We looked at the opportunity closely and were very excited about what it could offer us. We had always wanted to run our own business but didn't really know where to start. This seemed to offer us the best of both worlds. We could start it on a part time basis and still work our jobs at the same time. The idea was that we would then be able to both give up our jobs and have financial freedom.
So we set about working our business. We were very dedicated and loyal distributors. Some would say that we were obsessed with the business, but why not, after all we were working towards financial independence. We knew the prize was high therefore the work had to match up.
We both had full time jobs and eventually something had to give, we didn't want to give up on our dream so I went to work full time on our business. I was working 12 hours a day and a lot of time during the weekends too. We really gave the business 100% commitment and effort. However at the time we didn't know that we were actually MLM grinders! We loved the company that we were with and we loved the products, however we came to realise that something wasn't right. The plan wasn't working for us; it was difficult for us to admit it as we had always been told that the only people who fail are the ones who quit. But we had to make a business decision and decided to move on.
After listening to Randy Gage's audio - "Are you an MLM Grinder or Rock star" we realised that we were in a category 2 company - The Old Guard.
Now these are the companies that hit and actually sustained momentum for a significant period of time. They are now billion-dollar-plus companies and have already created legacy incomes for people who got in early and became a reason for their growth. These are fine companies offering stability and the chance for a steady income.
But most industry experts would agree with Randy that your chances of creating significant wealth with them have expired. They have reached a level of maturity that prevents someone from starting with them today and creating large bonus checks or exponential growth.
We also learnt from the CD that it wasn't our fault that we didn't succeed at our first company. We sponsored lots of people but they didn't duplicate and we certainly didn't earn what we were worth!

Basic Online Business Techniques...
When someone starts an online business, and many do, they tend to think that they know what they are doing. In other words, they don't have a clue. Everyone keeps telling them that they need a nice looking website, throw some affiliate programs on it, advertise at free classifieds pages, and watch the money roll in. Easy money, right? That's what they think.
"I don't need anyone to show me how to do this. It shouldn't be hard at all. Actually, it should be a walk in the park." Many people probably think like that. So they advertise here and there. Free classifieds. Free advertising. Maybe some forum posting every day. Free traffic, right?
A few days go by. Then a few weeks go by and they only made about $30 in sales in one month. Many continue to do this and think that if they keep doing the same thing, maybe a miracle will happen.
Not so......
It so very true that the online work at home arena is highly competitive. If you are doing the same thing and keep getting the same results over and over again, not only are you killing your potential for online success, but you are allowing other competitors to pass you by. The only thing that you need to do is to stop and find someone who is already succeeding with their online business. Become like an investigator. Investigate what they do EXACTLY on a daily basis that created that wealth for them.
Here are a few good pointers on what you can do to succeed online:
1) Start Getting Educated......
Again, find someone who is very successful online and see what they are doing on a daily basis that creates their success. Do some detailed research online as to what methods and techniques are working for them and others. You can not succeed if you keep associating yourself with people who aren't successful online. So you need to take yourself by the hands and start to associate with successful online friends.
2) You need an Auto-responder.....
Before I go into explaining this subject, it is important that you know that you will want to work with an opt in email subscribers who will come to your site and give you their personal permission to send them periodic emails. What you will not want to do is to buy email subscribers. If you do buy them and send them your emails, then this can kill you and your online reputation.
Having and opt-in email list will allow you to free up lots of your time because your prospects will be receiving messages from you periodically and automatically. The nice thing about email marketing is that instead of you having to call them each time you want to promote something, which will take you forever, your auto-responder system will be working for you while you go out and have fun.
Imagine having an opt in list of 10,000 subscribers. If you were to call each one of them to promote one of your programs, think how long it will take you to reach all of them. It would be impossible for you. With email, you can contact them all in a matter of a few seconds or minutes. You write one email and hit the "submit" button, and you are all done.
"If I don't get an auto-responder and email subscribers, will this cut my chances of succeeding online?"
I am not saying that it will, but if you do get one, your income will just keep growing all the time as your subscribers do.

Google Adsense Tips and Tricks..
Every single website and its owner have the opportunity to make some great money by displaying Google Adsense ads on it. Although many webmasters are making a nice income with these ads, many aren't.
Many people say that all you have to do is put up a website and you'll be making over $100 a day with Google Adsense. It does sound simple and it is, but you will need to optimize your site so that you do generate more and more clicks on the ads that are sitting on your site.
The first thing that you need to do is to Place the Google Adsense ads in the right spot of the page. This will determine how much money you will make each day. It is very important that you place the ad at the top of the page (above the fold) on your website in order to get the most clicks. What this really means is that you will want to place the Adsense code that Google gives you high enough on the page so that your visitors do not have to scroll down to see the Google ads.
If you choose to have the ads right at the top above everything else then do that. By placing the Google Adsense ads at the top of your website above the fold, there is a greater chance that people will click on the ad, which will help your site generate a higher click through rate also known as CTR. The reason for this is because the majority of your visitors will not scroll down the page and look at it.
A lot of the time, people look over the top part of the page without worrying about scrolling down. The way you blend the ads with the rest of your page can determine if the ad is visually appealing or not. It is very crucial to make the Google Adsense ads look like your site and not another ad. You can do this by making the font and color of the ad's text similar to the rest of the page. I also recommend that you blend the background of the ad with the background of your page. It should basically have the same color.
Google gives you the option to go into your account and customize your ads in different fonts and colors. This will help you blend the ads to your site. Make sure that you don't use the banner ads on your site because this will decrease your click through rate.
People who visit your website usually try to avoid any banner and picture ads that they see. If you want to increase your click through rate, you will want to add text ads. Google gives you that option so use it.
Here are some other small tips to increase your Adsense income:
1. Google has confirmed that using the 336x280 rectangle ad block size does have the highest click through rate. Using this ad size will increase your click through rate and the income that you generate.

It should basically have the same color.

MLM Downline Building Can Be Back-Breaking Work
When being a part of a multi-level marketing program that is working for you, you want to bring other people in as soon as you can. These people, your downline, are people that you want to help create an income for and get them as pumped about your program as you are. If you continue to keep them in the excitement about making money in their newly found business, they will take immediate action especially in their first 4 months into the business.
When thinking of who you want in your downline, you initially should go to friends and family first. There is always someone that you know that would enjoy the rewards of a good mult-ilevel marketing plan. Looking at old college friends or co-workers for your downline is a good idea, because you already know these people. They trust you and know that you wouldn't steer them wrong. Sometimes trying to bring in strangers for your downline is a little harder. But people that already see your profits and success are easier to make a part of your downline.
Remember that whoever you bring in for your downline is someone that you are going to have to spend a lot of time with. Your downline are people that you will have to speak with regularly, so bring in people that you know are going to be hard workers and take this seriously. Keep your downline limited to motivated people only.
Make sure you are not bringing in your downline and then throwing them to the wolves to figure out what to do. Set up a coaching call with them every week and train them with your company training. This will help keep them focused and to help them find out information to any questions they may have. When you already know which team members are the most teachable, then it is the time to teach them how to start building a downline of their own.
Attend meetings with your downline, or set up a monthly meeting of your own and invite all of your downline over. Be involved with your downline and you will build a team that will work for you.

The 4 C's Of Online Marketing: Capture, Cultivate, Close, and Coach
Let me begin by saying that I did not come up with this idea. I do not want to pretend to take any credit for inventing these steps. What I can take credit for is the success I enjoy by using the 4 Cs in my business. I hope this article will save you frustration and make you a lot of money in the process.
First, you must CAPTURE your audience. Yes, I refer to your potential customers and down-line as your audience because an audience makes a choice to attend. If you are a member of the audience at a concert, movie, ballgame...etc., it is because you want to be there. You are interested in what is going on! You want to attract those who are interested, maybe even already involved in the MLM business. You are looking for people who are looking. People like you. Do not, I repeat, do not waste your time and energy trying to "sell" your business opportunity or product to people who are not interested. It is just not worth your time, it is a waste of time. Move on. There are many ways to find people who are looking. They are searching just like you were. Try the Internet, personal connections, leave or hand out brochures. There are many ways to market your business so that those who are truly interested will gravitate to you. It may take a while to get the ball rolling, but once your momentum begins to build, you will have plenty of interested leads to work through and cultivate.
Next, we want to take the names or leads we have captured and CULTIVATE them. That's right, cultivate, like you would a garden or a good crop. Does a farmer plant seed and go out the next day and harvest what he has planted? Of course not! Our leads must be carefully brought along and cared for just as the farmer tends to his crops. Send them personal e-mails, call them on the telephone, and mail them some information. Find out about them. Listen to what they have to say and find out their particular Why. Make a friend, gain their trust. Then you will be able to expose them to your product and/or opportunity. I am not saying you have to drag things out for weeks. You will usually have a pretty good idea of how interested the person is quickly.. One of the worst mistakes you can make is trying to push them into a decision like the typical car salesman, you know, "What's it gonna take to get you on the road in this baby TODAY?". Network marketing is a people business and people not only want to trust and like the people that they do business with. I am not advocating being friendly with someone just to do business with him or her. Be genuine. Be yourself. Do not involve anyone in your business that you would not want to work closely with.. Remember, you are choosing your business partners.
Third, it is time to CLOSE. Although it is important not to rush people, do not be afraid to ask for their business. There needs to be a sense of urgency, after several exposures to the product and/or opportunity. Some people will ride along forever, talking on the phone, deleting your e-mail, just to avoid having to tell you no. Others just need to be asked to sign up. The only thing holding them up is that you have not asked for their business. Ask! The worst thing they can do is say "no". If that is the case, you are free to move on to the next prospect.
Finally, we want to COACH each and every one of our new business partners. Duplication is the fastest, most reliable way to build your business. You cannot duplicate people but you can duplicate systems. Your training system will teach your new partner how to move their new team members to action. Don’t let your team fend for themselves. Teach them what you have learned through trial and error and study. Lead by example. If you as the team leader are having success and having fun doing it, they will want to follow. There will be some who will never do anything. Others will work diligently for a short period and when they do not see immediate results, they'll quit. But then there is that few, that precious few who wants it as badly as you do. The team member with a vision, a dream are the ones who will make all your time and effort worth it. The ones who are coachable and willing to follow your proven system. Those few are the ones who will build and expand their business and in doing so make your business a huge success. You see, if we help others reach their dreams, we can't help but reach ours.

I prefer a balance, to lead not manage. I was drawn to network marketing because I wanted a business without the headache of having employees. Why would I try to manage now? Never handhold your prospects, instead guide your qualified prospects through your information system.
Here’s why.
People who require excessive hand holding rarely become leaders in your organization. Excessively needy prospects will inevitably eat up too much of your time. Clear them out!
Search for business-minded prospects that are coachable, who are driven by desire and take action. Spend you time with these and guide them through your training. Don't send them there blindly and expect them to sign-up. That seldom happens.
There are reasons for this. While many replicated websites look great, many present too much information and they tend to get lost in bombardment of advertisement going on today.
If you want to sponsor more of the "right people", take a few moments and guide your prospect through your information system.
Lead them through your training and show them how to increase their earnings and build their own business. This is leadership. This guided process is also training your new distributor how to train their new distributors.
Don’t allow your prospect to get bogged down with information overload. Show them the key areas to focus on to make an informed decision about their financial future.
